Historical Tour of the Town
 Our guided walks will give you a vivid insight into the history and life of the town of Calw. The Counts of Calw, the town walls with 'The Tall One', the Calw Cloth Manufacturing and Trading Company, Calw's second destruction, modern times, Hermann Hesse – these are just some highlights which will be referred to in this most interesting and entertaining historical tour of the town.

Tour of Hirsau Monastery
 In the 11th century, Hirsau Monastery was a centre of spiritual upheaval rarely experienced in history. Hirsau's importance on cultural history and its close link to German and European history have kept its charisma up to this day. In this tour St. Aurelius Church and the ruins of the Monastery of St. Peter and Paul are expertly described as stone witnesses of history.

Walking in the Footsteps of Hermann Hesse
 Hermann Hesse is one of the most widely read German-language authors. In his hometown many buildings remind you of the Nobel Prize winner and his stories. 'Calw is the most beautiful town of all', he once wrote. In the walking tour you will see sites of his life and places he so inimitably described in his stories. The town of Calw as a literary museum – you are free to follow in Hesse’s footsteps.
